Urooj wins at the double with two Catalyst Kudos Awards
‘Unwavering professionalism’ has contributed to Customer Service Advisor Urooj Chaudhry winning Catalyst Kudos Awards...
Single donations up to £250 will be made from the £2,000 Catalyst Community Fund to charities, community groups and other fundraising campaigns in each calendar year.
Colleagues and network partner employees applying for the money must explain in writing why the cause is worthy of Catalyst’s support.
Support good causes
Catalyst Managing Director Brad Jackson, pictured right, said, : “Catalyst is one big team, so we want to draw on the experiences and opinions of all colleagues in helping others in need.
“We hope the Catalyst Community Fund will help us support some good causes that might otherwise be overlooked, and ones that are very close to the hearts of our colleagues.
“That could be because they do voluntary work themselves and we can help them in that work, or because the people or organisations who need help live in their communities.
Aspiring to help others
Catalyst wants to involve its network service partners in the programme to reflect the importance of the wider Catalyst family of businesses and spreads the opportunity to support others nationally.
The company is setting up a Catalyst Community Fund Panel to review donation suggestions.
Catalyst hopes the fund will encourage and enable colleagues to champion charitable opportunities themselves.
The company will look favourably at initiatives colleagues are involved with, while asking them to explain aspirations and goals when applying for a donation.
Meaningful support
Catalyst Business Improvement Manager Yvonne Bardsley, pictured above left said: “We will continue to fundraise, as company and a team of colleagues, for other good causes, notably the Insurance Charities.
“But we hope the way the Catalyst Community Fund is set up will make this aspect of our community work particularly meaningful.
“We’re also open-minded about how the initiative develops. For example, if a colleague wants to volunteer their own time to help others, we will do what we can to support them.”
