Catalyst reaffirms commitment to equality in the workplace

Insurance claims specialist Catalyst Services UK has reaffirmed its comment to fostering gender balance across its business.

The company signed the Women in Finance Charter in 2020. Now, half the members of its senior team are women, and 62% of colleagues in the business are women.

Catalyst founder and Managing Director Brad Jackson said: “Our decision to join the charter was driven by our belief in fairness, inclusion, and the value of diverse leadership.

“We’re dedicated to sustaining our record of providing a great place to work for everyone, and continuing to support the advancement of women at Catalyst.”

Members of Catalyst’s senior management team include Financial Controller Stella Fidler, Business Improvement Manager Yvonne Bardsley, and Client Operations Manager Ami Beveridge.

All the company’s team leaders are also women.

Yvonne Bardsley said: “Women often bring particular perspectives to strategy setting and decision-making that benefit businesses and their customers.

“I have no doubt that Catalyst’s success can, in part, be attributed to this processes. Our insurance claims clients see the value of working with partners that reflect the real world.”

Monitoring and remuneration

The Women in Finance Charter is a commitment by HM Treasury and signatory firms to work together to build a balanced and fair finance industry.

Signatories are pledging to be the best businesses in the sector. Catalyst has pledged to:

• Ensure its executive team is accountable for gender diversity and inclusion
• Set and monitor internal targets for gender representation in senior management
• Publish annual updates on progress against the charter pledge on its website (done via the company’s ESG and Sustainability Statement)
• Link senior executive remuneration to the achievement of gender diversity targets
