Catalyst – 10 Years of Service
In pictures and words – industry colleagues attend service demonstrations arranged by the Catalyst Training Academy to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary....
The drainage training was delivered for GHG Solutions by the Catalyst Training Academy, which offers high-quality specialist training, coaching and refresher courses to the insurance industry.
Paul Duddle, Catalyst’s Head of Technical and Network, led a technical training session covering sewerage law, drainage responsibility, drainage serviceability and off-mains wastewater systems.
Catalyst Managing Director Brad Jackson also presented on water supply pipes and leak detection.
During the session, GHG personnel had the opportunity to try their hands at operating CCTV drainage survey equipment in a simulated sewer pipe system set up in the training room.
Paul Duddle said: “We’re very pleased to continue our training partnership with GHG Solutions. This sort of knowledge sharing is just what we’ve established the Catalyst Training Academy to deliver.
“We have leading experts within Catalyst and across our supply chain who can add enormous value to claims industry organisations, making their teams more confident and improving their customer service.
Catalyst was invited to provide the training by Ahmed Esat, Manager of GHG’s own training academy. It has been established to upskill the company’s loss adjusters so they can best support clients and contribute to the company’s continued success and growth.
GHG has a mission to deliver the best service. This is achieved, in part, though quality training with a six-month programme for every junior loss adjuster risk surveyor as they enter the business or progress through career development to take up these roles.
Paul Duddle said: “This is a two-way street for us. Meeting colleagues from all sections of the insurance industry helps us tailor our own belowground services for our clients and their customers.”
The Catalyst Training Academy provides training for the company’s own teams – and for clients and other external companies and bodies that need to understand all aspects of belowground services.
As well as drainage services, courses and coaching sessions cover water supply pipe systems, leak detection, subsidence investigations and remediation, home emergency services and responding to environmental incidents.
Training can be delivered as one-off sessions or short programmes to support time-bound business objectives, for example mobilisation of new services, or as an on-going partnership to ensure the continued development of claims teams and other insurance professionals.
