Community giving will continue in 2026, says Catalyst boss

Catalyst Services UK has pledged to continue to support charities, voluntary organisations and people in need during 2026 through active use of its community fund.

Enthusiastically supported by its colleagues, the business backed key initiatives in 2025, including making donations to a foodbank, gifting Easter Eggs to children and sponsoring a local sports team.

The support for community causes was channelled through the Catalyst Community Fund, which will continue to be active in the next 12 months, says Catalyst Managing Director Brad Jackson.

Important part of Catalyst’s service

He added: “We’ve been privileged to have the opportunity to support brilliant community organisations and volunteers in 2025, with our colleagues taking an active role in shaping and delivering our support.

“It’s always been an important element of our wider purpose that we look for ways we can give back to the communities where we live and work, and that will develop further in 2026 through our community fund.”

Any colleague working for Catalyst or one of its suppliers can recommend a cause to be supported by the fund. The company also does all it can to support the voluntary work of colleagues.

In 2025, that led to Catalyst donating dozens of Easter Eggs to the Our Community Wardrobe community initiative for distribution to children in schools throughout the borough of Oldham, in Greater Manchester.

In June, the company and its colleagues held a sponsored walk for the I Love Claims fundraising day, raising a whopping £815.50 for the Rainbow Trust, which supports seriously-ill children and their families.

The company also donated food, washing detergent and shampoo to the Oldham Foodbank, with colleagues playing an active part in gathering the items and delivering them.

In October 2025, Catalyst became a shirt sponsor of Diggle FC, an amateur football club in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, adding to the funds the club has to provide sporting opportunities for dozens of young people.

Towards the end the year, the business also donated wrapped presents for families in Oldham, including toys and games, plus food vouchers, again distributed through Our Community Wardrobe.

Catalyst also actively promoted, and made a donation to, The Insurance Charity during its annual awareness week, raising the profile of the valuable work it does to support insurance professionals and their families.
