Jonathan has been named as the first 2024 winner of Catalyst’s quarterly Kudos Award which recognises all-round customer and workplace excellence, which is based on votes cast by colleagues.
He is pictured, above right, receiving his award from Catalyst Managing Director Brad Jackson.
Praised by customers and colleagues
Jonathan joined Catalyst in May 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor – and was promoted to being a Trainee Claims Handler in May 2024.
Catalyst Business Improvement Manager Yvonne Bardsley said: “When Jonathan joined our team a little over a year ago he hit the ground running, immediately making impact with his enthusiasm and professional approach.
“He is widely praised by customers and colleagues alike, and committed himself to completing his governance training modules, confirming his focus on excellence. It makes him a worthy winner of our Kudos Award, and we’re all happy for him.”
Building a career at Catalyst
Jonathan had worked in the roadside recovery industry for 25 years, rising to senior levels in several companies, before deciding a career change was in order and applying to work at Catalyst.
He said: “I was helped by the fact that there are similarities in the roles. With roadside recovery you are seeking to help people in stressful situations, and that’s what we seek to do here, too, when supporting our insurance claims customers.
“I’ve very much enjoyed my first year at Catalyst. There’s been a lot to learn, but it’s been a very positive experience. The support I’ve had from both senior managers and colleagues has been second to none.
“I’m now immersed in learning all I can about being a claims handler and building my career at Catalyst. As it’s a go-ahead, ambitious and growing business, I can only look forward with confidence.”
