Catalyst shares expertise with loss adjusters at new academy

Catalyst Services UK has become one of the first external service specialists to support leading loss adjuster GHG Claims and Risk Solutions in delivering training in its new academy.

Catalyst’s Paul Duddle and Brad Jackson delivered sessions for the GHG Junior Loss Adjustor Programme, a six-month training and mentoring programme for colleagues starting their careers in loss adjusting.

The GHG Academy, launched in March 2023, is designed to give GHG Solutions the highly knowledgeable and motivated loss adjusters and risk surveyors it needs to support its clients and continue to grow as a business.

Quality training

Academy Manager Ahmet Esat said: “A key mission of GHG Solutions is to deliver quality service. That starts with delivering the best training for colleagues at whatever stage they are in their careers.

“Our junior loss adjuster programme introduces colleagues to all aspects of technical issues relating to claims. When it came to underground services, we knew Catalyst would be the ideal people to share their expertise.

“The interactive sessions Paul and Brad delivered were superb. Drainage is an area that is complex and causes challenges for those dealing with claims. The training they delivered went a very long way to demystifying these issues and will stand our colleagues in good stead as their careers progress.”

Seamless service

Paul, Catalyst’s Head of Technical and Network, led a technical training session on underground services, covering sewerage law, drainage responsibility, drainage serviceability and off-mains wastewater systems.

He used a mock up of a drainage system, set up in the training room at GHG Solutions’ offices in Halifax, to allow delegates to try their hand at carrying out a CCTV survey to demonstrate fault finding and repair techniques.

Paul said: “Having the opportunity to meet our industry colleagues and share our expertise is a privilege and a big help as well. It helps us all deliver the seamless service we all want to provider for insurance clients and customers.”

Partnership working

GHG Solutions is a claim and risk solutions specialist which has 28 years of experience in the insurance industry. In June 2023 it won Claims Service Solution of the Year in the Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards, and was shortlisted in two other categories.

Catalyst Services UK provides specialist investigations, repair and renewal services for the insurance industry.

Its expertise is focussed primarily on drainage systems, including off-mains drainage, water supply systems, subsidence investigation, environmental services, and home emergency services.
