Getting up to speed with AI in insurance at the ILC conference
The Catalyst team left the latest I Love Claims conference excited by the possibilities...
The company’s team was presenting training opportunities provided by its new Catalyst Training Academy, which offers a range of courses on underground services and related insurance claims issues.
Delegates were invited to take part in a Catalyst Academy Challenge – a quiz that tested their knowledge about all aspects of Catalyst services, from drain surveying to subsidence investigation.
Training and technical knowledge were also central to the key themes of the ILC conference at the Telford International Centre – Sustainability, Surge and People – said Catalyst Managing Director Brad Jackson.
“Insurance claims teams that have the knowledge to make the right decisions and deliver the best service for claims customers will be best placed to meet our industry’s future challenges,” he added.
“Repair and maintenance of underground services, including drains, off-mains drainage systems, and water supply systems, as well as subsidence investigation – all services Catalyst delivers – are critical to our response to sustainable development in the face of climate change.
“These services are hidden underground and are inherently complicated, so can be a challenge for claims teams. Making claims handlers more confident in their decision-making is what the Catalyst Training Academy is all about.”
Catalyst, which is a home and property corporate partner for ILC, received an excellent response to the training academy concept at the conference, which attracted hundreds of delegates from across the UK, and internationally.
The Catalyst Training Academy’s product training modules include:
Drainage
Water mains
Off-mains drainage
Subsidence investigations
The academy also offers a range of insurance training modules, including:
Training can be delivered in a range of settings – at Catalyst offices, client offices, through on-site or outdoor practical training, or via online webinars, minimising downtime for busy claims teams.
Paul Duddle, Operations Director at Catalyst, said: “We want to take an active role in shaping the future of our industry by developing skills. We invest in our people, training them to be the best technical experts in the market.
“We can now offer this same tailored training to our clients and others in the industry so, together, we can build the strongest and most capable teams. Our mission is to raise the bar on quality and service delivery.”
