What are drain gully connections?

Drain gully connections are all the pipes that lead into the gully at ground level. They may be made up of gutters, downpipes and soil pipes, depending on whether the gully is a foul gully or a surface water (rainwater) gully.

Faults with drain gullies and connecting pipe systems are often associated with localised surface water flooding, water ingress through walls, and the spread of damp, which can damage properties and lead to insurance claims made by property owners.
